Delete Your Desert Diner Account
Last updated: August 21, 2026
You can permanently delete your Desert Diner account and the personal information associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
If you still have the app installed, this takes about ten seconds and is immediate:
- Open Desert Diner and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore a deleted account.
2. Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your account, or would simply rather we handle it, email us at [email protected].
Send the request from the email address on the account and include the word "delete" in the subject line. If you cannot email from that address, tell us the account email and we will verify your identity another way before deleting anything.
We confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, as required by applicable law.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and login credentials;
- Your profile — name, photo, role, and contact details;
- Your vendor listings and menus, if you are a vendor;
- Your events and flyers;
- Your bookings, both requested and accepted;
- Your reviews and ratings, including replies you wrote as a vendor;
- Your private messages;
- Your uploaded images and menu files — logos, banners, menu photos, and event flyers — are permanently removed from public access;
- Your blocks and reports.
What we may keep, and why
A small amount of information may survive deletion:
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as those needed to comply with tax, accounting, or law-enforcement obligations.
- Safety and abuse records. If your account was reported or suspended for violating our Community Guidelines, we may retain a minimal record so the same person cannot immediately return. This is kept separately from your profile.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked back to you.
- Backups and cached copies. Copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten on our normal rotation. Images already cached by our content network may take up to an hour to stop being served after removal.
Anything another user independently saved or screenshotted is outside our control.
Just want to stop notifications?
You do not have to delete your account to stop hearing from us. You can revoke location permission or turn off notifications in your device settings, and edit or remove most profile information directly in the app.
